Following the news that the current Cantley Library building has been deemed unsafe and will be closing at the end of October 2026, we’re pleased to share that Cantley Community Centre will be welcoming many of the library’s much-loved activities from November!
--- A big well done to Ian and Sean (pictured), who have successfully completed their First Aid training and received their certificates. Keeping our staff training up to date is an important part of making sure Cantley Community Centre remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone who comes through our doors. --- Trustee Vacancy Do you want to put something back into your community? Then you might be interested to know that Cantley Community Centre currently has a vacancy for a volunteer to join our Board of Trustees. The role is unpaid and requires attendance at a trustee meeting once a month at the Centre. The main responsibilities are to help oversee the operation and direction of the Centre, to help ensure that it continues to serve the community in the most effective way possible, whilst ensuring that it is run on a sound financial basis. --- --- - Fully Equipped Training Suites

We’re delighted to be able to support the continuation of these valuable community services and ensure that local residents can still access many of the activities they know and enjoy.
A Library Hub will also be available at Cantley Community Centre, allowing residents to order books and collect books they have previously reserved.
From November, the following activities and services will be moving to the Centre:
Chair Yoga; Art Classes; Chatty Café; Citizens Advice Hub; IT for Health Courses; Knit & Natter and 8 Book Clubs
For further information about these activities, please speak to Rob, our Centre Manager.
Although it’s disappointing to see the current library building close, we’re really pleased to be able to offer a temporary home for these important services while arrangements for the new library premises are finalised, hopefully during 2027. Cantley Community Centre is here for our community, and we’re proud to be able to help keep these services running.

The Centre
The Centre offers a range of leisure, fitness and education based activities, in an easily accessible and people friendly local location.
We work with organisations and individual tutors to deliver accredited and non-accredited courses & classes designed to suit most peoples needs. See our 'What's On' guide and 'Timetable' to find out more information including the days and times of our many courses.
