Welcome to Cantley Community Centre

Serving the Community

Latest News:

We would like to say a big thank you to everybody for their brilliant support in making our recent Macmillan coffee morning a considerable success. We raised a fantastic £511 for this worthy cause, and we would like to give our special thanks to Shirley, Mike, Allison, Barbara, and Keith, for all their hard work in making it a success and many more people besides. Also, a big thank you to the local businesses who supported the event via their donations; Cooplands, Co-op, Fish Dish, Ringtones, Bella Pizza, Glasby Butchers and others.

We have new classes on offer here at Cantley Community Centre, which we hope will be of interest to you all. The Sen Den started on the 20th of October, and will be here every Friday from 15:45 to 17:45. It is a non-profit initiative dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for children with special needs, educational needs and their families. Their goal is to create a safe space for children to thrive and offer support for families. For more information, please contact Hannah on 07960 016194, or Lauren on 07500 048000. About Us

A Brief History

Cantley Community Centre began life as the South Cantley Community Association in 1998, when a group of local residents took over the former Cantley first School building. Since then there have been many trials, tribulations and successes culminating today with a social amenity that is a registered charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee, offering a range of educational, social, academic and leisure facilities. It is open to all members of the community regardless of social standing, gender, political and religious beliefs, age or race.

Our Aims

To be the 'HUB' of the Community

It is our aim to become “the Hub” of the community bringing all aspects of the community together and promote understanding.

Promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Cantley and surrounding areas without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or political, religious or other opinions, by associating together the said inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Promote charitable activities and be non-party in politics and non-sectarian in religion.
